Barcelona

When Euroleague moved their Final Four to Barcelona in May of 2011, and with the experience of Paris in 2010 in our memory, the decision to go to Spain to see some great basketball was taken.

Barcelona was a pleasant surprise for a Norwegian seeking warmer climate, and the city offered all what we could expect on a short 3-day stay. We found some very nice restaurants, a good hotel, an exciting old town with small streets, cafes and shops and a large harbour area with a long beach. The weather was not sunny the day we walked down there, so the picture looks very dark and the clouds makes the special light.

Going to see all the games in the Olympic arena was a pleasant surprise, only 8-10 minutes by taxi, and after the games a nice walk back to the center for something cool. Barcelona is one of those cities that I definetely will go back to, but then bringing Elin for a nice week end togheter.
