Side

Since the city of Side was so close to our village, we spent some evenings having dinner and looking at the sunset in the Old Town. The ruins from roman ages is very visible when you approach the Old Town, and looking at these ancient remains of an empire in the red sunset of Side was nice. The city is told to be founded by the greeks in the 7th century BC.

We tried several restaurants, but the service and food at the Mexican/Turkish restaurant Fiesta was outstanding and worth mentioning. In fact is was so good that we went back several nights and sat on the terrasse overlooking the harbour area and all the tourist.

Worth mentioning is also the bestoned pavement by the Mediterranean seaside stretching from Side and almost out to Kumköy were we stayed, a nice walk along the beach at day time and full of restaurants and bars at night time.
