In August 2001, I went to Spain for the first time in my life.

La Coruna, on the north-west of the Spanish mainland was my first encounter with Spain. As a referee, I had a very nice stay, and both the country and the friendly people made a good impression.

One year later, it was back to Spain once again, this time for a private family vacation on the island of Tenerife. A stay that made us come back yet again in 2003, 2004 and again in 2008.

And it won't be the last time either..

In early December of 2008, we went for four days to the capitol of Madrid, a very large city that offers everything to the seeking tourist. It was a memorable weekend! In May of 2011 the Euroleague Final Four went to Barcelona, and once again I enjoyed the hospitality of Spain. A truly memorable stay once again.
