Austria

Summer of 1999 was spent driving our Fiat Marea through Germany and Austria. We spent 3 days in the lovely village of Kuchl, just south of Salzburg.

For 14 days we traveled around Austria, turned up north and drove along the rivers of Mosel and Rhine, before returning with the ferry from Fredrikshavn in Denmark.

Austria are very recommendable to visit by car, the roads are good and it's no trouble to find the right way.

The people are very friendly and service minded, making you feel welcome in their country.

It's no problem finding the places you want to visit, and the prizes you must pay for hotels, food and beer i.e., are very  nice (compared to Norway).

The scenery is magnificent, leaving you almost breathless at times. We have already decided to return to Austria when our Henriette is a little older (and of course bring Erik who was born several years later).
